Keywords are search criteria that are predefined by the user to allow their listing to appear should they be entered into a search field.

Keywords are usually single terms or short phrases that best define the main points of your business topic. Keywords are used for search engines and databases. The basic idea is that our customers can choose a set of words that they think people who would be looking for their business would use.
This would mean that when a user of our directory performs a search that is relevant to a business, that business can be displayed.

Due to the fact that different people will run different searches for the same type of businesses, we allow our clients to set a large variety of keywords to cover all possible searches that they would like to appear under.
For example, a photographer can cover many different areas, so they would need to set their keywords as criteria such as 'Photographer, Photograph, Photography, Wedding Photography, Wedding Photographer, Commercial Photography, Commercial Photographer' etc.

Keywords are not displayed on the business listings themselves, because it would look rather strange to have a set of words that aren't in any coherent fashion placed in front of the users of the site.

Clients who have a listing that permits keywords can view and edit their keywords by logging on to their account with their username and password (explained later) and selecting the option 'edit listing'.
